Our Favourite Pieces From IKEA’s New Vintage Collection

Nytillverkad collection
IKEA

IKEA just dropped the second Nytillverkad collection. To celebrate 80 years, the company released home products that pay tribute to the iconic vibe of the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The collection highlights IKEA’s archive favourites by reintroducing designs by Niels Gammelgaard, Bent Gantzel-Boysen, Sven Fristedt and Inez Svensson – but with a more modern look.

What Makes This Second Nytillverkad Collection Different?

Compared to the previous Nytillverkad collection (that was released earlier this year), this offering boasts clean, simple shapes with a totally different colour palette, focusing on striking shades of orange, red, white and black. This second collection is meant to allow shoppers to rediscover IKEA’s beloved vintage products and have them in their home without them feeling dated.

One of the more popular products in the collection is the STOENSE rug which was originally introduced by IKEA in 1959.
