The main living space is open-concept, and bathed in bright light. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows and open-concept room enable anyone staying at the Eagles Nest to feel fully immersed in the natural surroundings, no matter where they are in the house. The kitchen may be cute, but it’s not lacking in performance potential! It’s fully equipped, so you can chef it up with the catch of the day.

The view from the second floor bedroom speaks for itself while the bedroom offers a king bed, mounted TV (not that you’ll need it with this view) and spa shower. The peaceful colour palette of the room compliments the main attraction: the stunning ocean and marine life you’ll have the pleasure of watching from under the covers!

It wouldn’t be a relaxing retreat without your own spa shower. We can’t get enough of the contemporary floor-to-ceiling tiles and matte black hardware. As if you could forget about the nature surrounding you, the bathroom has natural accents with the wood vanity and ceiling to remind you to stay grounded in nature.

Although the amenities are A+, nothing beats the view. Looking out over the Atlantic Ocean towards an ecological island, guests can enjoy seeing eagles glide by, puffins returning to their nests and humpback whales frolicking in the water with their young. The main floor is arranged so guests can always catch a glimpse of the view or sit back with a crackling fire to soak it all in on the cozy sectional sofa.

Did we mention the private sauna? Along with the spa shower, guests get to luxuriate in the spa set up outside. A private outdoor shower, hot tub and sauna with a floor-to-ceiling window means you’re never without the beautiful view while sweating it out. Guests may be on the east coast of Canada but Scandinavian spa traditions are always welcomed.  

The hosts took into consideration the beauty of the natural surroundings and created a stunning outdoor space to enjoy year round. No patio would be complete without a chic and comfortable conversation set, nestled around an outdoor fireplace. The design features a covered awning so guests can enjoy the space no matter what Mother Nature has in store.

The outdoor amenities alone are enough to book a stay here. The outdoor kitchen includes a full BBQ and granite countertops, and since the area is covered overhead you can enjoy cooking up the fruits of your labour (cod is a local staple) in any weather condition. In addition to the covered deck, there is an uncovered private deck located at the front of the suite – rest assured, it also has a view overlooking the ocean.

No east coast excursion would be complete without colourful Muskoka chairs facing the ocean. Lucky for guests, there’s a second outdoor fireplace to keep you cozy and warm if the temperature drops.

In case you didn’t believe us, the neighbours of Eagles Nest consist of humpback whales, eagles, and thousands of puffins returning to nest. Take it from the puffins, if they keep coming back, this place must indeed be Heaven on Earth!
